A day for not doing very much, and plenty of it.

I had a lovely night last night at Jill's next door; she hosted a cheese and wine party as a belated birthday party for me, and my pals and I had a great time. I love it when a birthday spans 4 days.

It has been raining most of the day, and I must now officially be a gardener, as I immediately thought "Good. The garden needs it." However, it is turning into a nice night, and 10p.m. still sees a bright sky outside.

I love this time of year.
