Found our new allotment plot today. Got serious mammoth digging to do. At that point of wondering if it's all a good idea. Of course it is. Yes. And making the children hang out and help is character building.
The skies suddenly turned very very grey. As did Alfie's mood when he found out that we STILL weren't heading home. He'd found a worm, jumped on a tyre, accidently murdered a ladybird ('what is the yellow squishy stuff coming out of it?'), eaten cake, played swamps with his plastic crocodile and now he wanted to GO HOME.
And mummy said 'not just yet'.
