Harry looks a bit scared about my handbook......

My friends Margaret and Bobby are up from Edinburgh this weekend, and we had a lovely day of going to the woodturner's and going to the perfume studio. We managed to spend some money and ignore the fact that the rain was pishing down all the time.

I noticed, in the passing, that quite a few of my colleagues were in school today; I can't say that I feel the overwhelming urge to do this.

When we came home, my pals made me get cracking on finishing my paperwork for the Inspectors next week. I have, as a result, written a bit more of this departmental handbook which the Inspector insists on seeing first thing.

I do resent the amount of time we are spending on things like this. The last time I updated this document was 1999, and neither I nor anyone else has looked at it since. I wonder when this present epistle will next see the light of day.......?
