Whitefish Wednesday

Today after class Katie and I ran off to plan our annual Whitefish Wednesday. Someone's got to make scientist get together and have fun! We have become the unofficial organizers and each spring it all comes together with picnic tables of smoked local whitefish, cheeses, crackers, wines, and beer. It is a chance for all us to come down unwind and kick it on the lakeside together enjoying the good life.

Katie and I brought over a big juicy cantelope mellon, cheeses, popcorn, and cherry wine. Scott and Matt brought the whitefish back from their trip up the upper peninsula. Luke and Marshall provided the beer and a cherry berry rhubarb pie from The House of Pies down the road. Some visiting alumni we met brought over two huge bottles of blueberry vodka. Jim made some potent rum balls. Jasmine had popcorn. The plover people brought cookies and chips. And Joel and Nate brought the music.

We should do this every Wednesday.
