A day and a half.......
That's a good term to describe each of Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
Over the weekend, I finished the turfing of the peat, and did about 1/3 of the cutting of the bank.
I did a lot of work in the garden - weeding the patio, cleaning out all the tubs and replanting them, and planting the herbs and salad leaves.
Wait for this, though.... managed also to get hoovering and dusting in the house done, washing done, dishes done and put up a cupboard on the wall ( made by my brother Jim ), and make a chicken biriyani for tea.
Oh, and I went to a brilliant concert, celebrating the glory of Uisge Beatha (The Water of Life , or Whisky......) on Saturday night in Gairloch, starring Iain MacFarlane, Ingrid Henderson & Ewan Robertson. I persuaded my pals Jill D. and Bob S. to come along, and they both had a great time. I feel that the star of the show, however, was Iain's father Charlie, who did a fantastic rendition of a poem about the SS Policitician off the Isle of Barra ( and inspiring the book and movie "Whisky Galore). It was one I had not heard before.
I am going back to work for a rest tomorrow....
