Day 9 - California - Sun, Sea and Sand
The weather today was excellent. With this we headed off to Half Moon Bay for a bit of culture while M and G went golfing on the local golf course.
Half Moon Bay is one of these quaint towns of the US with all the character you'd expect from them. We enjoyed our time here, but were advised that a walk on the beach should be had. Heading to Dunes Road we paid our $10 to the park ranger and parked up for a walk on the beach and a bit of Pacific water between out toes. The Pacific water was freezing, but refreshing nonetheless. Once we'd had our fill of the beach and got bored with being chased by the waves (we lost badly and go soaked) we headed back to pick up M and G from their golf.
We headed off to Sam's Chowder House for dinner where the queue out the door spoke hugely as the quality of the meal we had. Leaving Sam's the queue was still out the door with people waiting to get in.
