Spence the supervisor!

We went and saw Pop this morning. It was his 85th birthday on Monday and I forgot to call him! Bad granddaughter! I bought him some scratchie tickets and an apple cake on the way! Spence and I spent some time there then came home for lunch.

Mum was just finishing off mowing the back lawn when we got home. I started raking the clippings up while Spence supervised! We came in for lunch and were eating our toasted ham and cheese sandwiches when Mum said that she might bake a chocolate cake this afternoon. Spence said 'yeah, go on', and motioned with his arm for Mum to get up!!!

Spence had his sleep and I mowed the front lawn! Mum was called in to work for the afternoon so I was in charge of taking the cake out of the oven and icing it - without a recipe for icing! I can cook alright if I have a recipe, but I can't deviate off it! Surely icing can't be that hard!!?!

I did it without ruining it! Spence and I had a piece of cake and it was great!!
