Bound for Jordan

This is James, an art old college friend of mine who I see too infrequently. A fearless and eccentric character that has seen him be a contestant on TV's Blind Date, dress up as Bo Peep for a day on the Solent and spend a few years living in Zambia educating the locals on the practice of safe sex (he later married a Zambian girl, Jilly in Wales). The guy's moral compass is well calibrated, and he's a real joker too of course.

This was his send off for a new mission to Jordan, working for the UN. And also a celebration for his 39th birthday. With some trips into Iraq involved in his mission, I wish him best of luck (and safety).

Here he is re-enacting a prank from younger days - trying to look as ugly as possible using only a few elastic bands.
