View across Alnwick Moor in mono

My grandmother died last year aged 89 and for many years would walk the two miles or so out of Alnwick to sit in this seat, contemplate, eat seaside sandwiches and drink cups of tea from a flask. She did this up until about a year before her death when alzheimers took its toll.

I visited this morning and just contemplated as my gran did, took a couple of photographs and walked away completely relaxed. I can recommend this to each and every one of you.

Canon EOS 40D with Sigma 24-135 F2.8/4.0 at 26mm. 1/125 sec ~ F13.0 ~ ISO 100 ~ manually focused ~ evaluative metering.

Usual processing which consisted of converting to black and white and adjusting the red and green channels. Adjusted contrast and curves, reduced size to 800 on longest edge and then sharpened.
