I finally moved into the new house today. The keys left by the previous owner included this multi-coloured front door key. Unfortunately, she didn't leave the key to the security bolt on the patio door, which I managed to push down while the door was open at about 11.30 at night. Then I realised that I didn't have the key. Of course, I couldn't then lock the door, so I slept on the lounge floor that night to deal with any would-be intruders that might rather like the look of my ready-to-take-away boxes that were sitting our on the floor. I wasn't disturbed - but I was so knackered from moving that I'm not sure I would have heard anything anyway.
