Shadows and stripes

The second day of this brief holiday was much more productive: a long, invigorating walk through the hills, followed by a seriously luxurious lunch and a good deal of lounging around reading the Sunday papers. This was taken out on the terrace when the sun finally emerged in late afternoon - a pebble, a bit of fence and some old wooden decking. I am slightly worried that an obsession with shadows is starting to infest my photos.
