the new beginning

My niece and her husband are the brave souls who agreed to tackle the job.
They started with ripping up the carpet in the hallway and revealed what a mess the doorways were. worked and worked and worked and finally got them cleaned up enough to lay my pretty new wood/laminate flooring. The doorways took so much time only the hallway and dining room were done today, but they are sooooo pretty!

tomorrow is another day. Hopefully the kitchen is not as bad as expected.
