Basil Bug

While I was tending to my little herb garden today, I saw this little guy sitting on my basil.

I was amazed at how well the bug's green color matched the green of the basil! It is pretty much the exact same shade.

I think he/she is a type of katydid (related to crickets). If so, it must be an immature one, though, because the wings are not fully developed yet. I guess you would call it a nymph. If anyone knows exactly what he is, please let me know :-)

I had a hard time deciding today between this shot and these.
