Varied interests

Maddy really has to stat tidying her stuff away behind her. Actually, in fairness I think it was Roz rather than Maddy who moved her synth into the living room.

I'm quite proud of the fact that her interests now include guitar, keyboards, skateboards and photography. Anything's better than spending all her spare time playing the bloody Sims.

Talking of guitars Maddy's guitar teacher was round today and brought his Les Paul with him for me to try. Thankfully I'm not now secretly desiring a Les Paul, as great as it was I'm fairly sure I can live without one. I am seriously interested in the BAre Knuckle PG Blues pickups he had on it though. I looked at these a while back they're meant to be based on Peter Green's tone, especially the middle position which is wired out of phase the way he had his pickups. Obviously they're never going to make me sound lik Peter Green (or make anybody sound exactly like him for that matter) but they did sound absolutely lovely. They may well be back on the long term shopping list as the 335 clone I have is a lovely sounding guitar but has some very cheap and nasty pickups on it.
