What a brilliant day! By the time I woke, Michael and Charlotte had already had breakfast quickly followed by a water fight and it wasn't even 9!

We managed to stay outside all day as Michael wanted to work in the garden preparing the pond/wendy house area. (It's actually two separate projects but both need to be done this summer). Charlotte and I both read our books and composed our book reviews. Then Charlotte started work on Chapter 2 of her book she is writing called Diamond Power.

Afterwards we had another fantastic bbq. Again, the birds occupied our garden throughout the meal. At one point, Charlotte was talking to Percy the Pigeon and then started to shout something while pointing to the bathroom window. Apparently a baby starling flew into our bathroom but couldn't get out. So the mom went in and promptly got herself stuck! Brave Michael had to go an rescue them as I was too busy trying to blip LOL (sadly, none of them came out).

There was one last waster fight of the night left with Charlotte and Michael. I was called to help and was told Charlotte was 'playing up.' However, when I went out to help, I was promptly sprayed with the water pistols. I did manage to get the hose on them which somehow led me to being thrown into the paddling pool. I had to admit defeat on this battle, but the war is not over. The summer has only just begun...


Oh, and we booked our holiday today - hooray!
