Giraffe, Wellington Zoo

The sun reappeared and it was a bright, blue Saturday. Ideal for a trip to Wellington Zoo. It's one of the best Zoos I've ever visited: beautifully landscaped; the animals seem happy and well cared for; the staff make great use of every opportunity for visitor education; and the cafe has been taken over by Mojo ;-)

My favourite animal? Easy....the giraffe. One of the weirdest and most beautiful creatures on the planet: go large and look into the eye of this one.
