Is it art?

No - it's graffiti - a blight on the pavement and the road.*

But I saw this as I ran past on Sunday and instantly stopped in my tracks, compelled to look. As I ran home I thought about it. As I got back home I told people about it. And today, two days later, I took a detour after a long day to park ten minutes' walk away, photograph it, upload it, put it on this blog, publicise it, and encourage response from all those who follow me or come across this page by whatever means.
