Alpaca
I haven't blipped for ages, and for no good reason other than sheer laziness. I've taken photographs--and lots of them, and I've even uploaded them to the computer and to facebook but I've been unable to find anything that I thought blip-worthy. Which is ridiculous, really, as none of my photographs are actually that good.
Anyway, I spent the afternoon at a Sheep and Fiber festival. Susan declined the offer of coming with me, announcing that she would want to poke her eyes out with a rusty spoon after just two minutes of me looking at yarn, never mind the four hours that I would inevitably spend yarn-gazing. So I went with a couple of friends from my Monday night knitting group. Yes, I am that nerdy that I have a Monday night knitting group. It's the highlight of my week.
Despite Susan's absence, we had a smashing time. I took lots of interesting photographs of beautifully coloured yarn and fiber, and lots of photographs of alpacas. Doubtless, the yarn photographs are way more artistic, but I liked this alpaca. He has personality.
(I was very restrained, by the way, and only bought one skein of yarn. It's a gorgeous sea-foamy colour, with a deep jade glittery thread and a thin chocolate brown thread running through it. I have no idea what I'm going to knit with it though. Maybe a hat for the winter. And I bought some soap and some shampoo. Very restrained.)
And when I got home, Susan had made dinner. Chicken, potato salad and corn. I am very spoiled indeed.
(Going to backblip for a few days now. No narrative, just the pictures)
