A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent.

Day two of the experiment. As you can see, the dye is teaching transpiration and it's essential for moving water to all parts of plants, even to the tops of the tallest trees.
Had a really bad 'discussion' with the school secretary which sort of started my day off on the wrong foot (lets just say I'm glad a governor was standing behind me and saw the bullying tactics that were tried on me). However, I had arranged to meet with my very dear friend Vivi for a coffee so refused to let it ruin my day. As I was out with Vivi, I had a call from another lovely friend who I met with after leaving Vivi. Jo and I used to work together at the school (with the evil secretary) so we had a great chat-up and laugh about the whole thing.
I then had to go to school as today was the sponsor walk - which was raising funds for the school ... something at this point I was NOT in the mood to deal with. However, Charlotte was really looking forward to it so I knew I couldn't let her down. I also knew I did nothing wrong (quite the contrary) so had great pleasure of going to the walk with the Head and her secretary not able to make eye contact with me (there is nothing like making the bullies feel small, is there?). Charlotte and Sarah had a lot of fun walking 10 laps and finding ladybirds.
Afterwards Charlotte, Gahdoo and I went to Talking with past hours: the Victorian diary of William Fletcher at the local library. Very good, and interesting talk. Jane found the diary while working in Birmingham archives - just on it's own. She started to read 'Bill's' diary and was fascinated by how he wrote such a descriptive diary of his life in Bridgnorth. Charlotte and I found it amazing how places he spoke of are still around today in Bridgnorth - some as the same type of building!
Oh, and my Rainbows (and the lambs) made it in the County paper yesterday and the local journal today.
