Our copper beeches
Heading off to work this morning at 7am, I stopped to photograph these magnificent trees. This is my favourite time of year as they burst into leaf. First there is a hint of lime green throughout the branches, then a pinky hue emerges which slowly deepens into the copper colour that heralds the arrival of summer.
At the moment the trees are all at a different stage of lime gren, pink and crimson so they look wonderful.
With snow and hailstones yesterday, minus 3 degrees celciius this morning, I'm not so sure about the seasons anymore. Is this winter or spring?
Off out for supper with Bill which is indeed a treat!!!
