Birthday goof-up...

The funniest thing that happened since i remember with birthday surprises. T's birthday last Friday was conveniently ignored as people were busy. This week we thought we will surprise him and got a cake ordered today. The plan was to trick him into coming to the cafeteria and surprise him, and then eventually smear him in cake.

Typical to his nature he made a big fuss about the work-load when we invited him to come for evening tea when we would present him with a cake. This needed more planning now as to how to get him to turn up without telling him the reason. This caused the introduction of a third character as if I or LSP tried T would never trust us :P So D was brought into the picture to make up a story about an amateur guy who bought a Canon camera and needs T's advise. Now D started off very well with T taking his call and listening to the requirement. When T made a fuss about the work and said he could not come D decided to mention the 5D model. The confusion started now as T being himself started thinking in specifics as to why would someone buy the 5D when there was the 5D mark II. D was obviously ignorant of this discrepancy and to him 5D was the same as 5D Mark II. Finally, T declined the offer saying D should ask LSP .... this was the biggest joke ever!

Then we were forced to walk up to T's desk and show him the cake , and T's response was 'Oh, you should have told me there was a cake.' Then other reasons for declining the offer from D were that T thought some fool only could have bought a 5D when there was a 5D Mark II and there was no point trying to educate him... how typical. The rest was the weirdest cake cutting, followed by T and LSP playing catch me if you can when we attempted to smear cake on T. The picture shows T washing his face after.

I will not forget this greatest flop show of a birthday ever !!!
