A Happy Mother's Day

We had planned a picnic today, but the weather didn't cooperate. We had it anyway--at the dining room table. Hotdogs, potato salad, lots of fruit and bread and cheeses. We nibbled away at the food and the afternoon. It didn't matter that I hadn't had time to clean the house before my son arrived with his family. Little Sienna, who has just begun to crawl, wiped the cat hair off the floor with her knees and enjoyed it. Nathan, who's two, went outside with me and made soap bubbles that the wind carried over the roof. I had a lovely Mother's Day. I hope my daughter-in-law enjoyed it as much as I did.
