Put one in your soul

A day of DIY at the parentals. Actually, technically not DIY. I mean they had got me in to do the work so they weren't DIYing and I was doing it for them so ... Anyway, it got done by the hugely frustrating mechanism of repeated visits to B&Q and bodging things without most of the tools that live in the garage. ARGH!

The bird house on the other hand, is DIY. Made from the old floorboards that were lifted out of the kitchen when the house was gutted and some bits of board left over from making compost bins. Another one featured here but Ewan painted this one and we put it on the tree just in case a bird fancied it. I've never seen one in it though. Looks well weathered now.
