Wonderful Hike Today

My hiking group met at 6:30 a.m. to make the drive to Marin County, where a long, hard, beautiful hike awaited. The description in the Guide Book for the Cataract - High Marsh -Kent Trails hike follows:

Distance: 8.6 Miles
Shaded: 90%
Elevation Change: 2,100' Steep and Rocky in Places
Rating: Hiking - 10 Difficulty -9 Can be muddy or wet
When to Go: Best during rainy season and in spring for flowers.

This is a strenuous, but spectacular, hike in the most remote section of Mt. Tamalpais. Wonderful pools, waterfalls and conifer forests.

This time the description was right on, especially the "spectacular" part.
