Proto-apple pie

One day, in the not too distant future, the fruit following this flower will be plucked, peeled, chopped, covered in a mix of flour, butter, sugar and cinnamon, then baked. From whence to be smothered in custard (or ice cream if you prefer) and munched with gusto. In large portions.

I do think the apple trees look pretty in spring, but they taste better in autumn ;-)
