Action!

It is a beautiful day today and after almost two and a half weeks of non stop towing, it is time for some action. Heavy metal action. There is still a 40 meter single bridle leg chain connected to the original bridle of the barge and that is way too heavy for maneuvering at close quarters like we have to do tomorrow in port. Now we are still at 4000 meter deep water, so plenty water to shorten up our tow wire, remove the chain and pay out the wire again. All in all, it was just more than one hour work, a very smooth operation. Tomorrow at daybreak we will shorten up completely and see if we can get this barge moored alongside in Porto Amboim, Angola.
