Clouds in a canyon near Xinaliq, Azerbaijan.

I couldn't decide between a photo of some balls of wool on a carpet loom in Quba, and this. In the end I decided on this because clouds were pretty much a constant during our weekend in Quba, 3-4 hours north of Baku. Here, in a canyon about half way between Quba and the remote village of Xinaliq, they appear at their most dramatic - elsewhere they were a soft blanket veiling all sights and muffling sounds. Lower down the valley the trees were covered in new green leaves and white blossom, but in the canyon many trees had yet to sprout leaves - we even saw some patches of snow.
