It was a very aged, ghostly place; ...

Last night Diversity show was 'Ace' as Charlotte's puts it. Apparently, the guy who runs the place saw Michael (and knows him through work) so showed Michael and Charlotte to the best viewing seats in the place. The show was brilliant and they came back to the car (where I waited after class) completely happy. More pictures will follow at some point.

After the last couple of days, it was decided that Charlotte wouldn't be going to school today. As this was my day off, I wasn't going to say no to that! Unfortunately, Michael had to get up very early to catch a train to Leeds - but he did so quietly as he knew what was best for him! :-)

Charlotte and I had a very lazy, very relaxing morning off which included breakfast in bed. The only reason we were finally forced out of the house was for haircuts that we were both long overdue for.

At night, I headed to my Photoshop class. Now Michael and I both agreed that we were going to ask for an extension to our project as we both weren't anywhere near completed. However, as I've been hacking away at my postcard, I wasn't that far off. The major item with mine was a font issue. When I arrived at class, I had a eureka moment - I've been thinking big instead of little. I couldn't get curiosity shop on the postcard without ruining the overall appearance. Instead I went small - and wrote a passage from Charles Dickens Curiosity Shop in a small font. Teacher thought it was deep and very original ... I thought it just filled the gap LOL! But it gave me the confidence to submit the project (on foam board).

Now when Michael arrived an hour late (impressive really as he came via Manchester) he mentioned 'us' needing an extension. Ok, a bit unfair, but very funny on my end when he found out it was 'him' alone :-)

The quote used:
It was a very aged, ghostly place; the church had been built many hundreds of years ago, and had once had a convent or monastery attached; for arches in ruins, remains of oriel windows, and fragments of blackened walls, were yet standing-, while other portions of the old building, which had crumbled away and fallen down, were mingled with the churchyard earth and overgrown with grass, as if they too claimed a burying-place and sought to mix their ashes with the dust of men.
