First time in bloom

The nice thing about the long warm evenings is the time you can spend with your hands in the soil. This evening I transplanted some 'old varieties' of tomatoes into big pots and prepared grow bags for the later seedlings. I also planted on an aubergine, third attempt at getting something from one!

The blip is of a pear tree I've had for about 5 years, since it was a stick. This year was the first time it's bloomed - here's hoping for fruit as well.
