Creature Comfort

Tough day at work... arrived before 7am, loads of difficult patients , an unsuccessful resus, only got home at 8pm. Headed straight upstairs after dinner and just sat down on the floor, leaning against the bed.

Paddington came looking for me, jumped on the bed and put his head in my left hand, closed his eyes and went to sleep. He needed nothing more than for me to move my thumb back and forth over the soft spot between his eye and his ear.

At that moment the comforter became the comforted :)
