Despite being busy, busy I sat three times today. It's becoming almost as addictive as blip.
I post this shot simply to show that there is, occasionally, more wildlife near my Sit Spot than the ducks. As the shadows lengthened these two snuck in to feed. There are definitely more creatures around when the weather is even a little warmer. Today flights of sparrows, crows, starlings and a few more wagtails, ring doves and seagulls than of late. 'Fairweather' may be a wise animal instinct.
The really good news is that the ducks returned to the garden. They came right up close to the nest and 'though Momma stood gazing into the foliage for the longest time she never did return to sitting. In her absence the wallflowers have completely hidden the eggs. The pair were harassed several times by rampant young drakes and I think that is what may have unsettled them a week or so ago; I remember I was woken by an almighty squawking the day they left.
If I had a bird call tonight it would be 'Things to do, things to do.'
