My dog spends everyday chasing lizards in the back yard, never catching them. However today we found one while doing yardwork and scared it so much, it wouldn't even move when the dog sniffed it. She also would bring her paw up very slowly to touch it, and still no movement. Then the dog decided the appropriate reaction was to bark at it! We ended up leaving it alone, and it took off thankfully. The dog's world was probably turned upside-down.
