All alone
We are more or less in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean now, 1900 miles of water ahead of us to the African continent and 1400 miles astern of us to the South American continent. Closest landmass on our port beam is Greenland at 4800 miles and on our starboard beam Antarctica 3000 miles away.
That is quite a lot of water. We are well outside any regular shipping lanes and did not see any sign of life for days now. No ships, no fish, no birds, no nothing. And it will stay that way until we will get closer to St.Helena I think.
I threw a bottle with a message overboard with a request to the finder to write me back if the bottle ever should show up somewhere. I do this for more than 25 years now, and so far only two bottles were found.
