It's the Bees Knees

Some dear friends gave me this beautifully made 'Solitary Bee House' at Christmas, which I had entirely mislaid until today. So as it is the start of the 'nest hunting' season for Solitary bees right now, I have found a sheltered wall, with morning sunlight to hang it onto.

It will hopefully attract 'Leafcutter Bees or 'Mason Bees', that will fill each tube with their larvae, like an incubating tube, ready for hatching this time next year.

I'll keep you posted when I have some occupants willing to pay the rent.
