Carolina Wren

This little guy (certainly a male, since he was singing constantly) was near the store at Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm (actually a farm plus an extensive wildlife refuge) outside of Boston, where we're spending the weekend.

He hopped around nearly constantly, so this isn't exactly an optimum shot--missing is especially his lusciously checkered brown back (a bit like the end of the tail that's visible). But the light was fading at the end of the afternoon, so I'm happy with it .
