A day with kids and family

Today we spent a lovely day with two of our children, their spouses and kids. Also visiting were my sister and her lovely family as well as my Mom.
Sunday lunch was so good, it was like have Christmas all over again! Thanks to Adele, Blanche and Carien ... you really spoilt us!

The image shows the house were all of our kids were raised and grew up. At the time when we moved here (1972) the skyline had no concrete monsters.
This was a lovely area to raise the kids, it was about half a kilometer from both the primary school, as well as the high school. A bus stop was just down the road, a cafe and greengrocer were about same distance away as the schools ....

The image top right is that of a banana plant, it belongs to the neighbour, and it carries a few healthy bunches of green bananas.

Bottom left shows a Queen Hibiscus, a strong grower and a stunning plant when covered in these beautiful blooms.

Bottom right shows two favourite people: father and son - my brother-in-law and nephew. To my nephew I want to extend warm wishes of encouragement as he is due to write his matric exams in a few month's time - vasbyt!

It was so good to be with the family again!
