Pirate Battle

The tall ships are in town through tomorrow (Sunday). Today they were having a "battle". It began raining and I was cold and events were moving slowly so we headed out for a promised ice cream trip. It was quite interesting to watch the crews climb the rigging to unfurl the sails. Although, they do have diesel engines too. As we were leaving, LifeObserver and Mr. LifeObserver and daughter were arriving to take pics. Perhaps she'll post one of the actual battle. (She has posted some nice detail shots already.)

This is a shot of the Hawaiian Chieftan. The other is the Lady Washington, blipped on the 14th. We watched Pirates the Caribbean last night in honor of their visit.
