Today we went to Damson Day a local event which never seems to be advertised but is hugely popular and a nice day out for all, especially when the sun shines like this and there is lakeland lager and scones with damson jam to feast on.

Here we have Milo and his cousin Bella on the carousel. This was significantly more successful than the giant bouncy slide....the "£2 for 3 turns" was a little wasted on Milo, who climbed up bravely, but sat terrified at the top and had to be rescued, at the cost of my image and pride as we both went flying down and landed in an unelegant bare-footed heap at the bottom.
