Seeing Clearly
Chicago Day 2: Inbetween Easter services and Easter dinner, we drove (!) into downtown Chicago. Our first stop, the Skydeck at the Sears Tower. (Just in case you are wondering, the Sears Tower has been renamed the Willis Tower.) The building is the tallest in the the U.S. and on a clear day you can see for over 40 miles! 103 stories in the air and only 60 seconds to the top! Our ears popped. In 2009, 4 glass balconies were added. Here we are (minus The Boy) in one of them. Staring down and down and down by one's feet was not nearly as horrible as I had imagined. Thankfully I had Mr. Odd Days to cling to.
The day also included a side trip to see Wrigley Field. Alas for Mr. Odd Days, no game was played there during our visit. And, we tried Chicago-style deep dish pizza.
