National Space Centre
Today's day trip. Henry was terribly excited...he's a space-nut.
It's a fabulous place to visit. There's so much to see and the glass elevator is superb.
To cap it all we witnessed a live satellite launch on the big screen:
The CryoSat 2 mission will be able to pinpoint details of changes in polar ice, so scientists can better understand the picture of the world's retreating ice caps. It was all very exciting...especially as the Cryosat 1, launched in 2005, blew up on take off. Fortunately Cryosat 2's blast-off was successful and it launched to a spontaneous round of applause.
