Hmmmm, have we forgotten something...

No don't worry, we didn't forget to unpack Lyra after we unpacked the shopping, but we did think she looked quite cute! This reminds me of a story a friend's mum told me. Apparently 25 years ago it was quite okay to leave your baby in their pram outside the greengrocers whilst you did your shopping. She got home with a niggling feeling that she'd forgotten something - and yes, that something was her young baby who she found cooing at passers by when she walked back to the green grocers! (The baby was fine and has gone on to become a most excellent pastry chef).

Today was Lyra's first trip to the supermarket - at home we get the shopping delivered, but as we're in our holiday home this week we do all sorts of fun things like go shopping, do our own cleaning and build flat pack furniture. We know how to have a fun time! Lyra really enjoyed the supermarket, especially being cooed at by the checkout lady who commented that it seemed only yesterday that her sons were Lyra's age. They are now 41 and 43.
