Friday
Today did not involve any kind of a spin class as I am still recovering from the flu and my good girlfriend is just six weeks out from having her baby. We simply met for lunch. And what a fantastically delicious lunch it was. It was a quaint little place with a kiddy corner of toys. We grabbed a table right next to kiddy land and I slowly sipped on a coke as we got caught up on one another's week. Maybe it is just because I haven't really eaten much the past few days, but my hot Reuben sandwich with mustard dipping sauce will totally be making its way into my memory bank. Oh, that along with a sweet coca cola was just a little slice of heaven.
Kiddy land was a success.....for the most part. My son's shoe did manage to fly over the rail and land in my daughter's macaroni and cheese. My girlfriend and I just looked at each other like, "Well, what do you do?". And pretty much just continued conversation without skipping a beat. Our kids play really well together and soon there will be four in the mix when little (big) baby boy gets a bit older. For now, the little guy just sleeps the time away in his little car seat carrier. Always so good to see my good friend. She will always continue to be one of my best friends! I love you...you know that!!
This little bridge was out behind the restaurant in the parking lot. A cute little thing just waiting to be photographed. And I think that I have been over due for a bridge shot. The kids threw rocks in the little stream below and as usual, stomped in every mud puddle they could find. Again, another knowing look shared between my friend and I, "Well, what do you do?". Our kids do love just being kids. And they love getting the chance to "just be kids" together.
