Laughing
I love the expressions of pure, joyful hilarity captured here.
The cause? Why, a whoopie cushion, naturally. April Fool's Day served as A and E's first introduction to this prankster's tool and they ranked it as quite possibiy one of the funniest things ever.
Other April 1 hijinks included:
- Serving the kids "limeade" for their breakfast beverage - which was believable in that I had made real limeade a few days ago, and a prank in that it was actually lime jello, set into cups and garnished with straws.
- Putting a drop of food coloring in the kids' cereal milk (which didn't really work that well. It just made some of the Cheerios look moldy.)
- A and her friend H coordinating a "swap" to trick their teacher and class, which included wearing each other's clothes, shoes, coats, and backpacks, and sitting in each other's seats in class. I was impressed with their attention to detail - A took her earrings out and disguised her bangs with a headband, since H has neither. I was also impressed with their teacher's reaction - I thought she'd be a good sport, but she surpassed my expectations by not only laughing, but allowing the girls to stay at each other's seats all day!
It's already been a lot of fun, and the day's not over!
