When you emerge some time later, you are not in the least surprised to find someone else outside. They are staring intently at the doors and take a moment to register your presence.

While you have no idea who they are, you feel there's a bond between you ... or that there soon will be.

And of course, you let them know that it's their turn next.

After that, you go home; after all, it's way past your bedtime.

Do you feel different after the evening's events? Well, you have a vague sense of well-being, a kind of satisfaction - but what you're satisfied about, you would not be able to say. Indeed, whatever happened this evening seems to slip from your mind as sleep overcomes you.

But make no mistake: you've changed.
