a town called E.

Flying home, baby!

My wonderful and very, VERY generous mama decided she'd like to see the Beloved and me again. It took some whatnot that I'll leave out but:

This morning I was still half asleep when I heard: "You may want to give yourself some extra time this morning".
I had no idea what was going on, so I sort of mumbled:"why?"
"Oh, maybe to book a flight?"

WOOHOO!

I haven't been back since the day I left with the cats, all my belongings and my husband, and it's been 2 and half years. I long for the homeland in a way that only people who moved away from it can.

Honestly, I would do it all over again, but good lord is it AWESOME to go back.

I'm making lists in my head. Where to go, who to see, what to buy that is impossible to get here and that I miss so dearly (Washandjes!Hagelslag!Dropdropdrop!)

We're not leaving until May 19th so the wait will be a long one but I will be packing and unpacking and packing again and then possibly unpacking until I'm blue in the face. The things people do when they are excited ;)
