Why is a raven like a writing-desk?

Today was the Shropshire Mad Hatter's Tweetup in aid of Severn Hospice. About 6 weeks ago, we had a smaller tweetup and decided that a bigger tweetup that was a bit more kid-friendly was needed. Although I'm getting unwanted credit for helping with the organization, the majority of the work was done by Teresa and Sarah.

The Mad Hatter's theme worked a treat and a lot of great effots went into hats and costumes. There was a lovely turn out, with a great raffle and some really awesome raffle prizes. The atmosphere was absolutely electric and positive.

I also brought a fabric dog with me and had everyone sign it as they arrived (and after they bought a raffle ticket ;-). It worked a treat and were thinking of raffling him off at the next ShropTweetup as there was a lot of interest in him.
