My Nibs

I had some elaborate Copperplate to do today. I decided to do the usual, and warm up with some colours and shapes. I had not used these watersoluble pens before. I rather liked the effect.

I popped a box of nibs onto the words to liven up the photo.

I was so lucky, I bought two boxes of these nibs for a fiver in a junk shop a few years ago. The nibs are about 50p each in an art shop. There are many many more than 36 in that box.
They are also old ones, and have a wonderful spring. According to a full time illustrator I know, they are better than the new ones, so I am blessed with this find.
