Shaking The Hand of an Astronaut

It's not everyday you get to meet an astronaut but that's what I did today in Oxford.
Chris Hadfield, the Canadian astronaut was signing his latest book, 'You Are Here: Around The World in 92 Minutes'. The profits from the book are going to the Red Cross.
As he walked into the bookstore, he thanked everyone in the enormous queue for waiting and promised to sign every book. I was there very early and was 16th in the queue. It was a real privilege to shake his hand and a day that I'll always remember.

Someone from the bookstore offered to take this picture, so technically this is not my blip (although it was on my phone, so I'm using it anyway!)

Early blip this evening, as Blipfoto is going offline. Hope that all goes well for them and I look forward to seeing the none 'crashing' version tomorrow.
