A Few Presents

I finally put the finishing touches to the decorations and got a few presents.

Needless to say, these aren't my gifts and neither is this my house. In fact it's Basildon Park, near Reading and this is the Octagon Room, where last year's Downton Abbey, Christmas Special was filmed.

Mr E and I went to the wholesalers in Reading, stocking up on Christmas goodies. We thought that it would be nice to do Basildon Park on our way home and I'm so glad that we did. What a wonderful place and the National Trust staff were so friendly and helpful, which made a refreshing change.

Thank you all so much for yesterday's kind comments and thoughts. He was a lovely man and will be very much missed.
