Some compensation?

It was a big disappointment for Ella when we got to the skating today - we'd been misinformed last time that today was the next toddler day, but in fact it was full of school parties whizzing round so we weren't allowed on as it was too dangerous for wee ones. Poor Ella. She'd be so longing to go again. She was distracted by all the goings on in front of Central Station, seeing the Alice in Wonderland windows again and getting a gingerbread man to eat on the metro back. I'd forgotten how long it takes for a 2 year old to walk about, see all that of interest that's happening, never mind getting on and off escalators etc. It was all a big rush to get home as we have #2 daughter coming this afternoon to stay, with Thomas and James.

And to "crown" it all, a crown has fallen out - 60 mile round trip to Hexham Dentist tomorrow.
